LONDON (Thomson Financial) – Airsprung Furniture Group PLC said it expects its first-half sales and profits to be ahead of last year and that business indicators are positive for the second half.

The company said it is too early to forecast the effect of recent difficulties in the mortgage lending market on housing starts and consumer spending.


The company said it is confident of another satisfactory year unless there is a sharp deterioration in the trading environment.
