MARION —The Community of Christ Church for years has held a furniture give away to those in need. The church body has decided that due to the lack of volunteers they would turn the program over to the Marion Ministerial Alliance.

Rev. Bill Rucker said that the MMA is happy to do the program, but that it does pose a problem for them.


“We have no building or place to store the furniture and household items,” Rucker said. “We are in need of a suitable building for this purpose.”

With the limited financial resources that the MMA operates on, they are asking if anyone has an empty building that they would be willing to let them use.

“This is a program that helps many people who are limited on finances or have had a fire or some other problem,” Rucker said.
