ATLANTA – Aaron Rents, the nation’s largest operator

of rent-to-own stores, has signed an agreement with Texas-based Alliance Rental to convert seven of its 10 stores to franchised Aaron Rents stores.

The newly-franchised stores, all located in north Texas, will operate as Aaron’s Sales & Lease Ownership locations.

As part of the transaction, Aaron Rents is acquiring two of Alliance’s remaining stores and merging them into existing company-owned Aaron’s Sales & Lease Ownership stores.

One other Alliance store is being sold to Briley Investments Inc., who converted its Rent City stores to the Aaron’s franchise system last month.

In addition, Alliance is buying one company-owned Aaron’s store and merging it with a newly-franchised store in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The company said Alliance has entered into an area development agreement to open three additional Aaron’s Sales & Lease Ownership stores in Texas over the next several years.
