LOS ANGELES — Designer Barclay Butera will expand his brand in the home furnishings market
with an exclusive line of fabrics and trims to be developed with Kravet Collections, as well as a licensing program through Stone America.
Butera joins Kravet’s existing line of licensees, which includes Barbara Barry and Joseph Abboud. His line will debut in 2015.
“We believe that a noted and published designer like Barclay will be an inspiration to our customers and a welcomed addition to the varied licenses in the Kravet Collections division,” said Cary Kravet, president.
Meanwhle, Butera also has inked a deal with Stone America Licensing, which will offer his designs for licensing in such categories as furniture, lighting, bedding, bath, home fragrance and fashion.
“With both Kravet and Stone America’s support of my vision, their individual abilities to recognize new ideas, and their strengths in their respective industries, we will bring a whole new influence to the home furnishings and interior design industry,” Butera said.
Since 1993, Butera has built a company and lifestyle brand based on his passion for living well and providing a lifestyle of luxury with comfort — a personal haven. The classic styling of his furniture brand, Barclay Butera Home, as well as his home designs, is influenced by European, American and Far East traditions with a modern twist. His favorite style era is the mid-20th century American style of old Hollywood.
