Furniture Today,
SHERMAN, Texas — Scott Sullens, formerly of Lexington
Home Brands, has been named president of Bentbrook Furniture, a producer of custom leather upholstery and leather-fabric combinations. Â
Sullens was vice president of sales for Lexington. Previously, he was a regional sales manager for Broyhill Furniture.
Sullens, who is based in High Point, reports to Bentbrook CEO Kimberly Wilson, who had also been president before his hiring.
Sullens is responsible primarily for sales, freeing Wilson to focus on product development and marketing.
“We are excited to have someone with the enthusiasm and integrity of Scott Sullens at Bentbrook Furniture,” said Wilson. “We are in a strong growth phase right now and feel that Scott’s clear direction of where our industry is going not only fits well with our current circumstances but also with our vision of where we want to take the company.”
Sullens said Bentbrook’s value proposition focuses on maximizing customer margins.
“We give our customers the ability and opportunity to provide quality custom products at strong value price points,” Sullens said. “Most importantly, Bentbrook oversees the quality, manufacturing and production time at our company-owned factory in China.”
Two-year-old Bentbrook produces eight-way, hand-tied “high-end looks at a value,” Wilson said. The company has warehousing here and plans to open a second warehouse and a showroom in High Point in 2014.
