Company sending furniture for Enterprise High School

Workers for Midwest Folding Products in Chicago loaded a truckload of furniture that will be donated to Enterprise

High School to aid in its rebuilding process. MFP shipped 19 mobile cafeteria tables and 60 folding tables for use throughout the school. Sister company Artco-Bell Corp. of Temple, Texas, is also set to send classroom furniture as soon as the high school can accept the shipment.

Both companies are subsidaries of Sagus International, whose senior management team was in Atlanta when the tornado struck the school, rendering it 85 percent destroyed. “The idea to donate these items occurred just hours after the tornado struck the high school,” said Becky Matthews, midwest shipping manager for Sagus who helped coordinate the relief effort. “The management team was in Atlanta for a convention when the tragedy took place and saw the devastation on the news. We decided at that time to donate to the damaged school.” Darryl Rosser, CEO and president of Sagus is also a native of Alabama and still resides part-time in the Birmingham area. “It is our team’s desire to help those who have experienced adversity,” Rosser added. “This was their wish and I am pleased to be a part of their team.”
