Complaints to the Post Office about the Postmaster’s lack of service brought about a furniture move in the Post Office.
The Postmaster, Wayne Tucker, formerly had his desk facing the east wall leaving his back to customers at the counter. Customers were able to view his computer screen while waiting for service. The complaint alleged that Tucker was surfing eBay or other personal business while customers waited for service.
Tucker has moved his desk facing the northeast corner of the office, where the screen is no longer visible to customers and where he can readily see who is waiting at the counter.
