Ekornes installs Stressless Zones in 2 Canadian stores

SOMERSET, N.J.— Norway-based motion furniture maker Ekornes has opened Stressless Zone galleries in two Canadian stores, continuing its expansion in that country.

Jordan’s Home Furnishings in New Minas, Nova Scotia, has installed a 1,000-square-foot Ekornes gallery in its 20,000-square-foot store. Phil Jordan owns the store, which was founded in 1969. Jordan’s is the only Ekornes dealer in Nova Scotia.

Northern Hardware and Furniture in Prince George, British Colombia, also has added a 1,000-square-foot Stressless Zone in its remodeled furniture department. The store opened in 1919 and currently is owned by Ted Moffat, the fourth generation of Moffats in the family business.
