SAN DIEGO — FurnishNet says it has processed over a million
purchases electronically this year, an increase of more than 20% from 2012.
“We now have over 850 home furnishings businesses tied into our electronic network,†said Ron Sellers, vice president of FurnishNet, a provider of Internet-based supply chain solutions for home furnishings retailers, manufacturers and suppliers. “This milestone of a million purchases in a single year shows that more and more of the industry is taking advantage of electronic supply chain integration to speed order turnaround and lower costs.â€
The company hosts more than 150 retailers and 700 manufacturers and suppliers in its digital network. Retail users include Jerome’s, Jordan’s Furniture, Raymour & Flanigan, Ashley Furniture HomeStores, Art Van, RC Willey, Mattress Giant and Direct Buy.
FurnishNet integrates web applications, electronic data interchange, XML, and e-mail into what it calls an Any-to-Any exchange that can electronically process more than 300 transaction types between trading partners.
