SAN DIEGO — FurnishNet says it has processed over a million

purchases electronically this year, an increase of more than 20% from 2012.

“We now have over 850 home furnishings businesses tied into our electronic network,” said Ron Sellers, vice president of FurnishNet, a provider of Internet-based supply chain solutions for home furnishings retailers, manufacturers and suppliers. “This milestone of a million purchases in a single year shows that more and more of the industry is taking advantage of electronic supply chain integration to speed order turnaround and lower costs.”

The company hosts more than 150 retailers and 700 manufacturers and suppliers in its digital network. Retail users include Jerome’s, Jordan’s Furniture, Raymour & Flanigan, Ashley Furniture HomeStores, Art Van, RC Willey, Mattress Giant and Direct Buy.

FurnishNet integrates web applications, electronic data interchange, XML, and e-mail into what it calls an Any-to-Any exchange that can electronically process more than 300 transaction types between trading partners.
