Undated — October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and even furniture makers are getting in on the battle against cancer.
“Furniture for the Cure” pays tribute to people with cancer with a new collection of high-end designer furniture. First among the collection is the Alyce chair. The signature awareness ribbon has been incorporated into the furniture designs, and creates a functional and artful component to each piece.

Elements of wood, stone and metal will be a hallmark of the collection, chosen for their beauty as well as their symbolism – Plantation Mahogany for strength, stone for individuality and silver leaf for quiet beauty.
This October, both Furniture for the Cure and the Platt Collection will donate ten percent of its proceeds to cancer research.
