Help is on the way for some local workers who are expected to lose their jobs. Congressman Rick
Boucher is working to help the 119 workers who will be laid off once Pulaski Furniture closes its Plant 12 facility in December. Boucher’s office along with the furniture company filed a petition with the U.S Department of Labor for worker’s assistance. The money from the petition will provide workers with outreach services, counseling, job search and job development.
The program will also provide up to 52 weeks of additional unemployment insurance benefits.
