HIGH POINT — Henredon will close its 100,000-square-foot Ward Street showroom and move to the Drexel
Heritage showroom on Eastchester Drive in time for the October market.
Henredon will occupy the first floor of the Drexel Heritage showroom, and Drexel will have the second floor, said Jeff Young, president of the HDM division of Furniture Brands International. Henredon and Drexel Heritage are part of the division, along with Maitland-Smith.
Included in the move will be Henredon’s Ralph Lauren, Lauren and Barbara Barry collections, which currently are showcased across the courtyard from the main Henredon showroom. In October, Barbara Barry may also retain its space at the Ward Street depending on the attendance of international retailers, Young said.
Drexel also will continue to use its nearby Jamestown, N.C., store as a living retail prototype, he said. Retailers will be shuttled to the store, as they have been this week.
