HICKORY, N.C. — Major industry supplier Hickory Springs Mfg. is a finalist for the 2013 Challengers Distinguished Achievement


Award, recognizing innovative technology, to be presented at this week’s International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair in Atlanta.

The company said the honor largely arises from Hickory Springs’ recent introduction of Preserve, a foam used in furniture, bedding and other products that is made from a renewable material, a soy-based polyol from agricultural giant Cargill.
