HIGH POINT — Looking ahead to next spring’s High Point furniture market, the International Home Furnishings


Representatives Assn. for the first time is offering a hotel discount.

IHFRA members will have a chance to win a room at one of the Red Roof Inns in Greensboro for the March 2014 High Point Market at a rate of $69.99 a night plus tax.

The number of rooms is limited to 60 and the drawing is for IHFRA members only. Rooms are divided between the Red Roof Inn Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C., and the Red Roof Inn Airport, near the Piedmont Triad International Airport. The offer requires a four-night minimum stay.

“So far we have had a tremendous response from our reps,” said Kathy Parks, the association’s executive director.

Local rates at the Red Roof Inn usually run $96 to $99 a night during market depending on the location, Parks said. The High Point Market Authority Shuttle is available to the hotels.

IHFRA is offering the promotion now because many sales reps make reservations months in advance of upcoming markets.

If more than 60 IHFRA reps respond, a drawing will be held on Wednesday, Oct 18. Results will be posted at the IHRFA Social at 6 that evening in the International Home Furnishings Center Ballroom.
