Range from zero to 216%
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Commerce has

placed a 216.01% import duty rate on Chinese wood bedroom manufacturer Shenyang Kunyu Wood Industry Co.

The government announced the duty as part of its review of Chinese wood bedroom furniture producers deemed new shippers. These are companies that were not part of the initial antidumping investigation of Chinese-made wood bedrooms shipped to the United States.

As part of the same review process, the department also assigned Meikangchi (Nantong) Furniture Co. a 1.17% duty and assigned no duty to Dongguan Landmark Furniture Products.
 
The period of the review was from June 24, 2004, to June 30, 2012. These and other Chinese bedroom manufacturers can receive another audit of their shipments to the U.S. during the DOC’s annual review process.
