BRATTLEBORO — A Newfane man is accused of injuring a woman as he allegedly broke and threw furniture around his home this month.


Russell A. Buzby, 40, pleaded innocent Monday in Brattleboro District Court to domestic assault. He faces up to one year in prison or a $5,000 fine if convicted.

Buzby is accused of hurting the woman on Oct. 7 as he allegedly broke most of the furniture in his home, police said. He allegedly told police that he was upset because the woman had a drug and alcohol problem.
