A Jackson business owner is hoping to cash in on some efforts to rebuild following Hurricane Katrina.

Ellis and Company bought damaged and undamaged hotel furniture from coastal casinos and they are now re-selling it to the public.

They have everything from ice buckets to television sets. Chances are if you’ve seen the item ina hotel room you can find it at their store on Ellis Avenue.

“A lot of people tend to forget about hotel furniture. It’s actually made a lot better because it gets more use. So, that’s a bargain in itself right there,” said Frankie Ellis, co-owner of Ellis & Co.

Ellis says people can purchase 25-inch color TV’s for $75 and a king-size mattress set for $99. The items are only available while they last.

Ellis & Co. is located south of Interstate 20 on Ellis Avenue in the Ellis Isle Shopping Center in Jackson.
