Jeff Stone joins Legacy Classic as VP

Will oversee product development in Legacy Kids, casual dining

WHITSETT, N.C. — Jeff Stone has joined case goods importer Legacy Classic Furniture as vice president of merchandising, a new position.

Stone comes to the company from Schnadig, where he worked for the past two years as vice president of merchandising. He also held merchandising posts at Broyhill, Inmark and Lexington Home Brands.

He reports to Legacy Classic President Lee Boone, who was previously general manager of the company’s Legacy Kids division.

Stone will oversee product development and merchandising for Legacy Kids and for casual dining, an emerging category for the company.

“He has background in that area and will do a great job with that,” Boone said. He added, “Legacy has always run a lean operation, but our continued growth and future growth plans require the addition of new management that can create the product and merchandising vehicles to take us to the next level.”

Scott Smith remains general manager and vice president of merchandising for Legacy’s dining room and bedroom collections.
