$18 million, 347,000-sq.-ft. building would house distribution center, headquarters HIGH POINT — Case goods importer Legacy Classic is seeking

$305,000 in government incentives to build an $18 million, 347,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution center in the Premier Center office park off Penny Road in High Point.

The company would move to High Point from its leased 225,000-square-foot warehouse and headquarters in eastern Guilford County. High Point is in the same county. Some 120 employees would relocate if the move occurs.

The board of the High Point Economic Development Corp. unanimously recommended the incentives package to the High Point City Council, which is expected to consider the request at a June 19 public hearing.

Legacy Classic President and CEO Kevin O’Connor declined to comment on specifics of the plan until the public hearing.

The new facility is expected to consist of 307,000 square feet of warehouse and distribution space and 40,000 square feet of administrative offices.
