Louisville furniture company BJI Inc. has sued two competitors claiming they are infringing on a patent for


synthetic wicker and other woven outdoor furniture materials.

BJI filed separate suits in federal court in Louisville Monday against Flanders Industries and Lane Furniture.

BJI says the patents are among the assets it bought in November from Sun Isle.
