She will direct product design for dining room, bedroom, Biltmore Estate
HIGH POINT — Lesli Chastain has joined importer Magnussen Home Furnishings as merchandising and design manager for case goods and licensed collections, a new position.
She will direct product design for Magnussen’s dining room and bedroom collections, as well as the Biltmore Estate For Your Home collections. She reports to Nathan Cressman, vice president of merchandising and international operations.
Chastain most recently was director of product design for case goods source Fine Furniture Design & Marketing. Earlier, she worked for Palliser Furniture and design firm Otto & Moore, where she won a Pinnacle Award for her work on Lane Furniture’s National Geographic Home collection.
“It is rare to find someone with both a strong background in furniture design as well as production and manufacturing,†said Cressman. “Lesli already is bringing great insight and creativity to the summer and fall introductions for our bedroom, dining room and licensed collections. We believe she will help take our product development to the next level.â€
