HOUSTONÂ — Mattress Firm has agreed to purchase Mattress Discounters of Upper Marlboro, Md., a deal that will add
more than 140 locations and put Mattress Firm into six new markets.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Mattress Firm ranks as the No. 3 bedding retailer in the United States, according to Furniture/Today’s list of the Top 25 Bedding Retailers. Mattress Discounters is No. 17.
The acquisition will take Mattress Firm into New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
