FORT SMITH, Ark. A metal furniture plant in Fort Smith has announced it will close, putting 40 people out of work.
Flanders Industries is consolidating its operations and the Fort Smith work will be moved to Menominee, Michigan. At its peak, the company employed 150 people.
Flanders says the jobs will be phased out, starting in August.
