OneCoast has put even more impact behind its name with the acquisition of Ruddell & Associates, a northern California sales rep group that also has a presence in Nevada.


This latest addition, which follows hard on the heels of the acquisition in May of Collective Home, a southern California rep group, further emphasizes the “nationwide” aspect of the company.

“This latest addition creates the largest national provider of sales and marketing services to suppliers and retailers of home decor, gift and collegiate products,” said Ted Teele, CEO.

Ruddell & Associates represents Tag, Thymes, Mud Pie, Beanpod Candles, Jody Coyote, Bailey Street Trading Co., Feizy Rugs, Ariel Art and Blue Mountain Arts.

All Ruddell employees have been absorbed by OneCoast. Dave Moore, co-managing partner of Ruddell & Associates, joined the OneCoast management team as regional vice president, OneCoast West Gift. Linda Carey, co-managing partner, has joined OneCoast as vice president of strategic relationships, home.

“The people in this business are here because they love it – they love the products,” Teele said. “You have to have that caring touch, but Ruddell brings an accountability, professionalism and a corporate background as well.”

OneCoast will continue to operate a showroom in the San Francisco Giftcenter and Jewelrymart and a second in the San Francisco Furniture Mart.

“This acquisition is really a keystone for us,” Teele said. “Northern California is the one piece of the country where we didn’t have coverage.”
