HINSDALE, Ill. – Dave Roberts has added the president’s title at Comfort Solutions, and

remains chief operating officer of the Top 15 bedding producer.

The move to name Roberts president marks a change of course by Garret Weyand, CEO and chairman of Comfort Solutions, who said two weeks ago that the company would no longer use the president’s title. Weyand made that announcement in the wake of the departure of Larry McKay, who was president of King Koil, later renamed Comfort Solutions, since 2001.

Roberts said that Weyand named him president to end any speculation about the leadership of Comfort Solutions. Roberts also said that Comfort Solutions is considering a corporate restructuring, one that could involve the addition of senior executives.

A 13-year veteran of the bedding industry, Roberts joined King Koil in 2001 at the same time as McKay. McKay has not announced his plans since confirming earlier this month that he had left the company.
