HIGH POINT — Robin Martinez has been promoted to advertising director of Furniture/Today and publisher of its Kids Today supplement.


In the Kids Today post she succeeds Pete Cohen, who has left the company to become vice president of sales at Green Frog Art, a supplier of infant and juvenile furniture. The Furniture/Today position had been vacant.

Martinez joined the newspaper in June 2004 as sales manager for the East Central/Canada East territory.  She was instrumental in developing Canada Today, a supplement to Furniture/Today that debuted this year.

In her new post, she will oversee sales and marketing for Kids Today and will coordinate sales and marketing projects of the Furniture/Today sales force. She reports to Kevin Castellani, vice president and publishing director.

“We are pleased to have this opportunity to share Robin’s skills and sales experience with the entire Furniture/Today sales force and to continue to build Kids Today under Robin’s guidance,” said Castellani.
