— Casual Living,
Line shown this week at High Point Market
SCHOU USA, the newly-formed American subsidiary of the Danish commercial trader SCHOU Company,
has earned exclusive rights to distribute Netherlands-based Hartman outdoor luxury furnishings in the United States.Â
SCHOU USA announced its exclusive deal with Hartman Pacific after introducing its contemporary line of Scandinavian furnishings at The International Casual Outdoor Furniture & Accessories Market in Chicago Sept. 13-16.
“We’re thrilled to incorporate Hartman’s new line into our collection of casual outdoor furnishings,†said Chris Curran, president of SCHOU USA. “We’ve had a strong relationship with Hartman for years now, and we both strive to offer modern, elegant outdoor furnishings that truly take luxury living outdoors.â€
SCHOU USA will integrate Hartman’s products into its catalog of contemporary outdoor furnishings. Samples of the new inventory will first appear at SCHOU USA’s 3,000 sq.-ft. showroom at Suite 315, Market Square during the High Point Market this week.Â
The SCHOU parent company has built a strong track record with Hartman through years of acting as its sole distributor in Denmark. SCHOU USA also courted Hartman’s interest because of its ability to provide the local U.S. management, strong international supply chain and managerial infrastructure needed to expand its limited participation in the American marketplace.Â
Both SCHOU USA and Hartman manufacture garden furnishings and accessories from similar materials that complement outdoor living spaces. At the Chicago market, SCHOU USA showcased three distinct categories of outdoor living products, including teak and hardwood furniture, combination pieces blending wicker or teak and aluminum or stainless steel framing; and aluminum furnishings featuring a combination of aluminum, textiline and/or glass.
Hartman revealed the new line of luxury outdoor furnishings to be incorporated into SCHOU USA’s product offering at the Spoga+Gafa Garden and Leisure Fair held Sept. 3-5 in Cologne, Germany. Hartman’s new line emphasizes increased design and durability and guarantees a five-year warranty on each piece.Â
