Spring Air CEO Nation elected vice chairman of ISPA

— Furniture Today,
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Jim Nation, president and CEO of Spring Air, has been elected vice chair of the International Sleep Products Assn.

He assumes that post immediately and also becomes chair of ISPA’s Finance Committee.

“Jim brings more than 30 years experience in the mattress industry to our ISPA leadership team,” said ISPA Chairman Kerry Tramel, president of Lady Americana Associates. “His insights will help to further advance the effectiveness of ISPA in representing the needs of mattress manufacturers and their suppliers throughout the world.”

As vice chairman, Nation is in line to succeed Tramel in the chairman’s post next year.

“I am honored to have been selected to be an officer of our industry’s trade association,” Nation said. “ISPA is an outstanding institution that has done a very good job in representing the interests of the mattress industry for nearly a century. I am looking forward to continuing the fine work of the many industry leaders who have preceded me in expanding the market for mattress sales, advocating on behalf of bedding manufacturers, and charting a course that will benefit the interests of ISPA’s 650 member companies.”

Nation has been president and CEO of Spring Air since 1995. He has held a variety of retail and sales assignments in his career.
