FORT WORTH — Dozens of pieces of furniture, lamps, rugs and an assortment of other items seized from a furniture store for unpaid taxes will be auctioned Wednesday downtown.
Tarrant County tax officials seized about $78,000 worth of furniture, accessories and office equipment from Circa Design Showroom, which operated at 233 Grand Ave. in Southlake. The company owes about $34,000 in back taxes.
Items can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Tarrant County Education Center, 401 E. Eighth St., or online at renebates.com.
“I think some people will get some real good buys,” said Betsy Price, Tarrant County tax assessor-collector.
The auction starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the education center. Checks must be accompanied by a letter from the bank saying the funds are available. Cash will also be accepted.
