Thomasville opening new store

Furniture Today,
WOODBURY, Minn. — Thomasville Furniture Inds. will open a 15,000-square-foot store here on April 15, its

third company-owned unit in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, joining locations in Edina and Maple Grove.

The store is in Thomasville’s new prototype, with features including a design resource center, immediate access to the Thomasville.com Web site, and displays intended to foster consumer interaction and inspire ideas.

Nancy Webster, Thomasville president and CEO, said the store was designed based on the company’s understanding of its target consumer.

“Thomasville proprietary research shows that consumers want to play and experiment with their homes, but to do so within defined limits and with assistance,” she said. “Home must be a platform for new ideas. Our new prototype store is designed to help inspire her.”

Webster said the Woodbury store will allow the company to test marketing, merchandising and design concepts before a national rollout.
