The type of furniture color quite a lot depends on the concept of furniture and wood materials such as teak wood that will be placed in the house. In general, craftsmen often use 2 finishing color materials: stain color and pigmented color. Although there are also colored materials that have been mixed with finishing materials, the application is instant and fast, such as teak oil.
Wood Stain
Wood Stain is a finishing material as transparent wood dye that still shows the color of the wood grain. In Bahasa Indonesia, wood stain means a stain in wood. However, in literacy, stain finishing is meant by coat regular colors and to beautify the furniture or wood. The disadvantage of this color material is almost nothing found, although for natural wood stain colors such as red mahogany, walnut, dark brown; it can be seen clearly if the surface of the wood get flawed. The advantages of wood stain will clearly show a certain level of color of the wood veins and very beautiful teak wood fibers. These color materials can be mixed to get the desired color even though they are limited, such as natural colors, young bark, brown bark, dark brow.
Pigmented Furniture Color
Pigmented color is a finishing material that covers all wood surfaces tightly. The color of the veins and wood fibers will not be visible because they are coated with color materials, such as duco paint, nippe etc. Generally, this duco finishing color used for furniture applications with mahogany wood as raw materials. Wood stain and pigmented color are choices according to your home interior, personality and taste. Duco paint will not be suitable to applied to teak wood, because the sap and oil content of teak wood will damage the appearance of the finishing color.
Top Coated is the last finishing material after the coloring process which serves as the main protection and adds beauty. The detail function is to maintain color, protect the furniture surface from impact and friction.
