CHARLOTTE, N.C — Women in the Home Industries Today honored four women with WOW awards at the group’s annual education conference here this week.
Honorees were recognized for their contributions and impact on their companies and the industry. By category, the winners and nominees were:
+ Future Leadership Award: Emma Roubtsov, national sales, Four Hands. Other nominees were Tiffany Mullis Brittain, director of communications, Vanguard Furniture, and Carol Gregg, owner, red egg.Â
+ Education Award: Wilma Hammett, professor emeritus, North Carolina State University. Also nominated was Ela Chavez, director of training and development for El Dorado Furniture, Miami Gardens, Fla., and Amy Archer, sales education, Rowe Furniture.Â
+ Mentoring Award: Kathi Cunningham, senior account executive, Four Hands. Nominees included Stephanie Lowder, Graphic Solutions International, and Sealy Inc.’s Women’s Task Force.
+ Legacy Award: Kathy Bovey, AmericasMart. Other nominees were Dianne Ray, president, Garden City Furniture, Garden City Beach, S.C., and Carolyn Kinder, president, Carolyn Kinder Inc.
Darlene Leonard, BDO Seidman, received the President’s Award for her service to WithIt.
Jackie Hirschhaut, vice president of the American Home Furnishings Alliance, was honored for her 10 years on
