Lorain Woman Placed Order Online
HIGH POINT, N.C. — Judit Palotai said she’s really angry after waiting almost a year for nearly $4,000 worth of furniture she bought from a Web site.
The woman from Lorain in northeast Ohio is among hundreds of people who have filed complaints against NC Furniture Buy Direct, a company based in High Point, N.C.
An attorney for the furniture retailer said it has been having problems with the banks that process its credit card transactions.
A spokeswoman for the North Carolina attorney general’s office said it wants to see proof that the company is providing refunds, as it claims it wants to do.
Meanwhile, Palotai said she may have to hire a lawyer.
