Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture recently partnered with the Red Sox Foundation to makeover the Dimock Community Health Teen Center in Roxbury.

Bernie & Phyl’s provided new furnishings for the Dimock Teen Center, including six

couches and love seats, coffee and end tables, four kitchen tables and chairs, and an entertainment center. Hundreds of volunteers, including Red Sox players, City Year, and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, also spent an entire day painting walls, decorating murals, replacing worn tiles and lighting fixtures, and landscaping.

The Dimock Teen Center provides a safe haven for teens from the area’s disadvantaged neighborhoods to help prevent their involvement with gangs and drugs, while providing vocational direction and assistance.
