GRAND RAPIDS – Good news from Steelcase today as the office furniture manufacturer reported higher sales and profits.
Sales climbed to $727 million, up 8 percent from the previous year. Steelcase earned $18 million profit, about 12-cents a share.
In a statement with the release of the numbers, Steeclase President and CEO James Hackett said he sees evidence of “positive momentum.” He added, “In addition to our solid first-quarter performance, we successfully launched the Nurture healthcare brand and won six product awards at NeoCon,” an influential trade show in Chicago.
