U.S. to assist fabric exhibitors in Dubai

— Furniture Today,
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — American fabric suppliers interested in selling in the fast-growing markets of the Middle East, North Africa and Asia can participate in a USA Pavilion, as well as a catalog and sample presentation, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Textiles and Apparel at the Index 2013 show here Nov. 7-11.

According to OTEXA, Index is the largest and most important trade fair for the interior decorating industry in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.

In 2012, the show added Textiles@Index, a hall dedicated to residential and contract fabrics, bedding, upholstery fabrics and furnishings.

For the USA Pavilion at the show, OTEXA provides participating textile companies a turnkey package of services including space rental, booth construction, carpeting, lighting, signage, catalog entry, on-site assistance with interpretation and pre-show promotion.

For the catalog and sample presentation, the package includes the collection of leads that will be sent to each company after the show, on-site promotion of samples and pre-show publicity.

The cost for participating in the pavilion is $340 per square meter, with a minimum booth size of 12 square meters. The catalog/sample presentation costs $875 for four to five samples not to exceed 20 yards, or four book samples, company literature and business cards.
