— Furniture Today,
TUALATIN, Ore. — Oregon-based Stanton International, which manufactures and imports leather and fabric upholstery,
is closing its Phoenix assembly and warehouse facility and consolidating the operation with its Stockton, Calif., facility by early fall.
Tom Yow, Stanton’s CEO, said the company decided to make the move because of the expiration of its Phoenix lease and the growth in its imported finished goods. Stanton, which serves dealers throughout the West, opened the Phoenix facility in 2002. The closing affects 40 employees.
Yow said the Stockton workforce will be expanded to ensure continued service to the company’s dealers in southern California.
