DALLAS — Rico Berrios has been promoted to national sales manager of custom upholstery specialist American Leather.
Berrios is responsible for leading the company’s sales efforts and managing its sales representatives, called American Leather Brand Ambassadors.
He replaces Casey Jones, who relocated to the Seattle area and is a sales representative in the Northwest. Berrios reports to Bruce Birnbach, president of American Leather.
After joining the company more than five years ago, Berrios initially represented the line in the Carolinas and later was named regional sales manager for Florida and the Southeast.
American Leather CEO Bob Duncan noted that Berrios doubled the company’s sales volume in North Carolina, then launched the American Leather program in the Southeast and doubled that territory, and was Salesman of the Year in 2012.
Birnbach said Berrios will work to more cohesively align the national sales efforts with the company’s branding and marketing strategies.
“With Rico’s industry background and long history with the company, he will be essential in broadening the customer service and business development component of our sales efforts,†said Birnbach. “In addition, his role will allow him to incorporate sales strategies that closely support our growing national marketing program.â€
