ROCKLIN, Calif. — Furniture industry sales, liquidation and consulting company Deere Park Associates has formed a new
venture here to serve Western home furnishing retailers.
Deere Park Associates West’s services include general business development; mergers and acquisitions; financing through bridge loans, inventory appraisals and value guarantees; special order facilitation; leadership personnel, promotions expertise; advertising development, crisis management and store closing supervision.
Bryan Bender, former regional manager for Northbrook, Ill.-based Deere Park, who has been with the company more than 10 years, was named senior managing director. He will supervise some 200 associates, said Linda Waldman, the company’s press manager.
First-year annualized sales under supervision by the West company are projected to by about $75, million, Deere Park said.
“In the past several years, Deere Park Associates has seen the demand grow for specialized services to Western home furnishing dealers,†said Richard Glabman, Deere Park president.
Asked to explain the differences between services offered by Deere Park and the West company, Waldman said, “DPA West does not do the same thing that DPA does as the needs of the West are different in merchandise, advertising, marketing and sales approach.
“Using Western home furnishings suppliers and working together with a local, permanent and cohesive team that is familiar with the styling needs and the competition of the West, DPA West will be able to offer clients a focused approach,†she said.
