LOS ANGELES For all the years Cher has been in show business, she’s collected a lot of stuff, from her wild clothes to Neo-Gothic furniture.
Now, she’s putting some of it up for auction.
Included in the 700 items that have to go are a Bob Mackie gown she wore to the Oscars and Mackie costumes from her Sonny and Cher days. There’s also her Hummer, her antique brass bed and jewelry she made herself.
Cher is sort of downsizing. But, the real reason for the auction is, when her farewell tour finally ended, she decided she wanted to redecorate her home. That means out with the Neo-Gothic and in with a new style, from Morocco and Tibet.
Cher’s auction is on October third and fourth in Beverly Hills. It’s expected to bring in more than a (m) million dollars with a percentage going to charity.
