LOS ANGELES — Case goods resource Sandberg Furniture has hired Todd Banik as vice president of design and product development, a new post. 


He is responsible for product development in both the imported Platinum Collection and domestically produced Sandberg brands. He reports to President and CEO John Sandberg.

Banik most recently was vice president of merchandising and product development at importer and manufacturer Lexington Home Brands. Earlier, he was corporate buyer at Treasures Furniture, a high-end Top 100 store based in Poway, Calif., and also worked with retailers Robb & Stucky in Arizona, American Home Furnishings in Albuquerque, N.M., and Gabberts in Minneapolis.

“We are very pleased that Todd has joined our team. He is very talented and well respected in the industry, particularly given his extensive retail background,” said Sandberg. “He will be working directly with our dealers, our designers and our suppliers. We could not be more pleased with the synergies that his addition will create.”
