SAN FRANCISCO (BUSINESS WIRE) — Williams-Sonoma Inc. has promoted Dave DeMattei, president, Emerging Brands, to the position of Group President — Williams-Sonoma, Williams-Sonoma Home and West Elm Brands.


In his new role, DeMattei will retain his current responsibilities leading the West Elm and Williams-Sonoma Home brands, in addition to assuming responsibility for the company’s namesake Williams-Sonoma brand.  He will report to Howard Lester, chairman and CEO.

DeMattei joined the company in 2003 and has served in the role of president, Emerging Brands. Prior to joining Williams-Sonoma, DeMattei served as president, North America Retail and Wholesale Divisions of Coach Inc.

Lester explained: “In this newly created role, Dave will be responsible for the strategic alignment of the Williams-Sonoma and Williams-Sonoma Home brands, which we believe is an important first step in leveraging the growth potential of the Williams-Sonoma ‘family’ of brands.”
