Fallen furniture causes accident on U.S. 41

ASHWAUBENON — Three people were taken to Green Bay hospitals Wednesday afternoon after two cars and a semi

The accident happened around 12:15 p.m. in Ashwaubenon just north of Wisconsin 172 in the northbound lanes when a piece of furniture fell out of a pickup truck and into traffic. As following vehicles attempted to avoid the furniture, two cars and a semi-truck collided, according to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

A 27-year-old male in one of the cars was taken to St. Vincent Hospital while two children in the other car — ages 7 and 5 — were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital. Injuries were not considered “life threatening” by the sheriff’s department.

All of the people involved in the accident are from Northeastern Wisconsin. Charges are pending, according to the sheriff’s department.
