Sumter to Close Furniture Plant

(COLUMBIA) – A Sumter plant that makes bedroom and
dining room furniture will close next month.


Around 200 people will be out of work when Sumter Cabinet Company shuts down.

The company plans to stop operations by October 31st. It is owned by the Indiana-based company Chromcraft Revington Incorporated.

Chromcraft plans to sell the 521,000 square foot facility in Sumter as well as related equipment.
