Residents of Quincy, Macomb, and Galesburg are now able to hop on board Amtrak’s Illinois Zephyr, and pop up to America’s


Furniture Showplace for a day of fun and relaxing shopping.  The No. 348 Zephyr leaves Quincy every morning at 6:12 AM; with stops in Macomb at 7:00 AM; and Galesburg at 7:38 AM.  It arrives in Downtown Kewanee at 8:06 AM (when you descend from the train, you will see Good’s West entrance from the depot).  Then, the No. 347 Zephyr heads back home the same day, leaving Kewanee at 8:03 PM; stopping in Galesburg at 8:34 PM; Macomb at 9:12 PM; and arriving in Quincy at 10:10 PM.

Starting the end of October 2013, Amtrak’s new Carl Sandburg will offer the same incredible day time service to residents of Chicago and suburbs.  It will leave Union Station at approximately 8:15 AM; arriving in Kewanee 2 hours later (with stops at La Grange Road, Naperville, Plano, Mendota, and Princeton).  It will then leave Kewanee for the return trip at approximately 6:30 PM; arriving back at Union Station 2 hours later (or, you will be able to spend the night at Good’s European Bed & Breakfast Suites; and return to Chicago the next morning or evening).
