HIGH POINT — GMAC Commercial Finance will host a breakfast briefing on International Supply Chain Financing during market here on Tuesday, Oct. 17.


Anthony K. Brown, senior vice president and managing director of supply chain financing for the company, will speak at the 8 a.m. session at J. Basul Noble’s restaurant.

“The rules of the trade game have changed, and that places greater emphasis on integrating technology and supply chain management methods to control inventory more efficiently while overcoming avoidable delays associated with financing global business transactions,” said Brown.

He said the fast-changing international product sourcing landscape is forcing importer-marketers to become more nimble in order to keep retailers satisfied.

“Understanding the changes means retailers are in a better position to source globally, yet buy locally, as the efficiencies of open account financing eliminate the need for costly and time-consuming letters of credit,” said Brown.
