Delgaudio rejoins Henredon as SVP

— Furniture Today,
Will oversee all creative projects for case goods, upholstery displays

AT THE MARKET — Industry veteran Michael Delgaudio has rejoined high-end manufacturer Henredon as senior vice president and creative director, a post he held in the late 1980s and which most recently was held by Britt Albright, who left to join department store JCPenney.

Delgaudio will oversee all creative projects for case goods and upholstery displays, and will be involved in fabric selection and upholstery product development and design. He also will oversee the design staff as lead creative officer for all Henredon displays, including the showroom, gallery, design centers and stores.

“Michael will handle everything related to the company’s creative direction,” said Tom Tilley, president of the Furniture Brands International company. “For a premium brand like Henredon, it’s critical to have the right person, with the right level of taste and talent, in this position to reinforce our commitment to design leadership.”

Delgaudio has spent the past several years as vice president and creative director for retailer Hendricks Furniture Group, including Boyles Furniture and Norris Furniture, and for Thomasville and Drexel Heritage stores.

“The timing for this is just great,” Delgaudio said. “Tom has done such a wonderful job of getting the wood segment just right, and it will be fun to create a cohesiveness that will take everything to another level. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and so glad to be here.”
