collection designed to complement its furniture.
Broyhill Furniture is presenting Broyhill Home Solutions, an accessory collection designed to complement its furniture.
“We had what we called a sneak preview at the April market here and in July at Las Vegas, but that was strictly for feedback,†said Mark Summerour, vice president of dedicated distribution. “We really wanted to test the waters before we dove in.â€
At this market, more than 1,200 SKUs are introduced in a dedicated Accessory Order Center and combined with furniture collections within a 7,500-sq.-ft. Broyhill prototype gallery. The accessories include lamps, tabletop accents, hand-painted accent furniture and wall art with themes such as Lodge, Coastal and traditional looks. Rugs and top-of-bed products will likely be added at the spring High Point market, Summerour said.
“This comprehensive selection of accessories is exclusive to Broyhill,†said Deborah Blackburn, director of Broyhill Furniture’s accessory program. “Starting January 1, the program will ship on demand: no minimum orders, and all designs individually boxed and ready to ship by UPS for delivery to dealers, who will have access to an on-line catalog through our Broyhill dealer Web site.â€
Products for Broyhill Home Solutions were sourced from China and India, and are stocked in Broyhill’s Lenoir, N.C., warehouse. Broyhill tested the program over the summer in 11 markets across the country and reported “great results in both sales and order replenishment,†Summerour said.
“We’re fortunate to have Debbie on board to oversee this program,†Summerour said. “Her expertise in design and sourcing was instrumental in the development of this long-anticipated launch.â€
Dealers were buying on opening day, he said. “It was designed to be for our dealers, but we may expand it,†Summerour said.
Broyhill is part of Furniture Brands International, also the parent company of Drexel Heritage, Henredon, Maitland-Smith, Lane and Thomasville.
