Stephen Crump, a Somerville hardwood furniture designer, was the guest speaker

last month at the regular monthly meeting of the city’s Garden and Arts Club.

For lunch, hostesses Betty Shelton, Jan Craig and Sandy Haddad served a chicken salad plate.

After the club’s business was conducted by President Helyn Keith, the meeting was adjourned with the reading of the club collect.

The club’s next meeting, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 25, will be its bridge luncheon in the Somerville Bank & Trust Co. Oak Room.
