La-Z-Boy board member dies

Helen O. Petrauskas had been a director since 2000

MONROE, Mich. — Helen O. Petrauskas, a member of the La-Z-Boy board of directors, has died at age 61.

She joined the board in 2000 and served as the chairwoman of the Investment Performance Review Committee and as a member of the Compensation Committee.

She was vice president of environmental and safety engineering at Ford Motor Co. from 1983 until her retirement in 2001. She also sat on the boards of the Sherwin-Williams Co. and MCN Energy.

“Helen was an extremely accomplished, talented and dynamic woman who contributed greatly to our board and company,” said La-Z-Boy Chairman Pat Norton. “I feel privileged to have worked with her and am thankful for her wisdom, sound judgment and dedication to La-Z-Boy. On behalf of all of my colleagues, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to her family.”
